Maite Porter, Principal
Maite Porter proudly serves as the Principal of C.E. Williams Middle School 6th Grade Campus. A passionate and dedicated educational leader, she believes that every child deserves access to a high-quality education—regardless of race, socioeconomic status, or background. Originally from Volusia County, Florida, Mrs. Porter has served in multiple roles throughout her career, including special education teacher, assistant principal, principal intern, and elementary principal. Known as a “turnaround educator,” she specializes in working with underserved populations and leads with a servant leadership approach that prioritizes authentic relationships, community, and growth.
Guided by a strong belief in the power of education to shape society, Mrs. Porter fosters a culture of success built on high expectations, culturally responsive instruction, and data-driven practices. The daughter of a Spanish immigrant, she learned the value of hard work and perseverance from an early age—principles that continue to guide her leadership. She and her family remain deeply committed to community service, carrying forward her parents’ legacy of giving back. Mrs. Porter lives in Summerville, SC, with her husband and son, and enjoys traveling, the outdoors, and gardening.
Rodrick Bellamy, Assistant Principal
Mr. Bellamy serves as the Assistant Principal for our upstairs teams - Bonecrushers and Quickhatch. He is originally from Conway, SC, and came to Charleston to attend the College of Charleston.
He holds a B.S. in Middle Grades Education from CofC, an M.Ed. in Educational Administration and Leadership from Columbia College, and an Ed.S. in K-12 Educational Leadership from North Greenville University. He is currently working toward his Ed.D. at NGU. He has certifications as a Middle-Level Math Teacher, Secondary Principal and Supervisor, and Gifted and Talented Teacher. He is in his third year as an Assistant Principal at CEWN, following several years of teaching math at Northwoods Middle School.
In his spare time, Mr. Bellamy enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and creating memories with family and friends. He is excited to continue with the Wolverine family and to see all the great things we do this year! He looks forward to learning and growing with our scholars as we help them be the best they can be!
Sara Holstein, Assistant Principal
Ms. Holstein serves as the Assistant Principal for our downstairs teams - SkunkBears and Wolfpack. She is originally from Florida and lived in Ohio and Kentucky before moving to Charleston in 2012, where she attended the College of Charleston.
She holds a MAT in Middle Grades Education - Science from CofC and an M.Ed. in Educational Administration and Leadership from the Citadel. She has certifications as a Middle-level Science Teacher, Secondary Principal and Supervisor, and Gifted and Talented. She has worked at CE Williams as a science teacher for 9 years. This will be her second year as Assistant Principal.
In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach, reading, traveling, spending time with her dog, and relaxing with friends and family. She is looking forward to another great year at CE North and working with both students and families to ensure every child reaches their full potential.
